Reflection

I have learned so much more about technology after taking this class. I have never been on flicker, diigo, google docs, or blogged! It really opened my eyes to how much more you can do with your classroom, and how you can get the kids involved in so many more ways. I can definitely see myself usuing google docs, and having a class blog. It is a great way for them to interact, and get their ideas published. The technologies I don't think I would use would be flicker, twitter, and wikis. I didn't really enjoy using them. You never know though, there might be just the right lesson that they would be perfect for. I really do feel like everything we learned in this class is useful. My thoughts about technology have changed one hundred percent. I didn't even know what technologies you could even use and now that I am aware of them, I will for sure be integrating them into my classroom! For future advice, I would have to tell myself not to get frustrated. Some don't always work the first time, like I Movie, but it's important to remember that these are really useful tools and definitely something that should be used when making your lesson plans.
THis class was very helpful, and I enjoyed it a lot! Thank you!

Google Earth

I really enjoy playing around on google earth, and it is an awesome tool to use in your classroom. I plan on using it in my presentation, and I think it would be good for a geography lesson and having the kids look up a different country to explore. IT would be cool to use google earth and let the kids see what country they are exactly exploring!

Google Docs

I think Google Docs is an awesome web page that teachers should be apart of. It is a quick and easy way to make forms, presentations, spreadsheets, and documents. I really like that it autosaves for you and you don't have to worry about losing information. It was an easy page to get around on and wasn't confusing at all!

Wiki's

I really enjoy Wiki's and I think I may even like them more than blogging. They are a quick and easy way to share information and to let people put their inputs in on the topic. The more we use them the more I think I will enjoy it! I'm sure I will be usuing a wiki in my future classroom

Blogging So Far

So far blogging is a little confusing to me just because I have never done any blogging at all. I can't say I hate it, but I don't really get it yet and I don't know if it is something that I would want to continue to use. Maybe as we keep developing our blogging skills I will get more comfortable with it and like it more.

Clarence Fisher

Clarence Fisher has a blog and it is for things that teachers can buy and use in their classrooms for their students. You can get bargain clothes for art project, and frames to matt all of the children's work. You can even get playground equipment. It is an awesome site that has everything you could want.

Hey Jude

This Blog is about learning in an online world, and I liked it because I think it pertains very well to the class because everything we use is on the computer and has to deal with technology. This site has a lot of projects for the kids to do and even has informational stuff such as PDF sharing. The whole site is awesome and I would recommend it for teachers who want to get their students involved in the online world!
